This is by far my most intricate carving to date. The image is Leonardo's Vitruvian Man, and the poem (yes, it is ALL carved!) is by William Shakespeare. It measures 5.5 x 5.5 inches, and was carved on Speedball Speedy-Stamp and colored with pastel pencil. |
This is from a 1918 photograph of my mother at age four months and my Aunt Edna at age 10. Mom and Aunt Edna both died in the year 2000. It measures 3 x 3 inches, and was carved on Speedball Speedy-Stamp. |

This is a card I created for a bridal shower. In Japan red is the traditional wedding color. The background (4 x 6) is mostly solid with little umbrellas and willow branches. The woman is 2.5 x 4.5. Both images are from the Dover Pictorial Archives and were carved in PZ KUT. |
This is a card I made for my husband on Father's Day. He and our 10-year-old son, Teddy, are very close, and I thought this sentiment and picture captured the feeling perfectly. The stamp is 4 x 6.75 and was carved in PZ KUT. I colored the image with watercolor pencils. |
The Tree of Life is a symbol in many world religions. The stamp is 3 x 5.5 and was carved in Nasco Safety Kut. I stamped in dark green Crafters ink and embossed with clear detail powder. |
These are for a card I made for my sisters and sisters-in-law. Yes, you've no doubt seen the image before -- it's from the Dover Pictorial Archives. The image is 3.5 x 6, and the words are 3.5 x 2.5; both are carved in Speedball Speedy Stamp. |
