This block is based on a pattern I drafted using the antique Baltimore Album Quilt block that my sister-in-law Michelle gave me a few years ago. (You can download the free pattern here!)

Block Title

I named this block Vintage Flower Vase, which is the name I gave the antique block Michelle gave to me.

This Leg of the Journey – Completed September 2007

I took a very long break from this project. I had this block and other original block in the works (the other one is still in the works, actually!). In December 2006 I had laser eye surgery (LASIK). While it improved my distance vision tremendously, I completely lost my close vision and until recently I found working with reading glasses tedious. Thankfully I found a pair of reading glasses that work perfectly, and I've started quilting again.

Lesson Learned

Sometimes you just need to take a break, and it's OK to do so. The quilt will still be waiting for you when you return!
